Scott, class of 2012, graduated from Syracuse University in 2003, majoring in Political Science. He then taught math at Carver High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Scott decided to focus his interests on National Security, where he studied at Johns Hopkins University, before deciding to come Appalachian State University. At ASU, Scott is interested in political psychology, voting behavior, voter competency and birdwatching. He will be writing a thesis on his research (minus the bird watching). After completion of the MA in Policitcal Science, Scott wishes to pursue a PhD, hopefully somewhere tropical. Outside of school, he enjoys intramural basketball, using microwaves and shopping for wares.
